Educational Protection Act:
November 2012, the voters of California passed Proposition 30: the
Schools and Local Public Safety Protection Act (EPA) of 2012. In
accordance with California Law, schools are required to post the expenditures for the EPA. For the 2016-17 school year, Willits
Elementary Charter School received $169,600. Of that money funded, 100%
was used to pay for certificated teacher salaries."
California's school funding law, called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), is a new way for schools to focus on student success. The Local Control Funding Formula is a huge opportunity for parents to shape the vision for your children's education and make it happen! The LCFF requires all schools to involve parents in planning and decision making as well as in developing Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs). It also gives our schools more flexibility for how to spend its money to improve local schools.
WECS does not offer an official school sports program. Please see the Student Accountability Report Card for updated information our student enrollment.
